The brief

Enterprise Green Communities has been advancing healthier, more efficient, and more resilient affordable housing for more than 20 years. The 2026 Green Communities Criteria builds on that legacy with updated guidance focused on three core themes: energy, health, and resilience.

The recipe

Report Kitchen built the new Green Communities Criteria and Certification website as an interactive resource hub. Visitors can browse the full 2026 Criteria, review the checklist, access certification guidance, find tools and templates, and explore supporting resources. The site includes dynamic filtering by construction type, location, and theme. As visitors make selections, the checklist updates to show which mandatory criteria and optional points apply to their project. This helps users focus on the information that matters to them instead of sorting through a static PDF or one-size-fits-all manual.

Interactive filters help visitors see which criteria apply to their project based on construction type and location, and lets them filter criteria by selected theme.

The checklist updates dynamically, showing mandatory criteria, optional points, and project-specific requirements in one place. Once completed, the checklist can be downloaded as a PDF.

The Certification Hub brings together program requirements, application guidance, tools, templates, webinars, and supporting resources.

Interactive filters show which criteria apply to a project, and the checklist updates dynamically.

Accordions, modals and expanding lists keep dense content scannable without hiding depth.

Layouts adapt to phones, tablets and wide screens without losing hierarchy.

Site admins can see which sections and interactions readers open.

Your turn

Does your organization produce toolkits or resource guides?

How much more engaging would they be if visitors could truly interact with your content instead of just downloading a PDF?
